The Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, on Wednesday he revealed that history will exonerate him despite tagged as the most controversial governor Imo state has ever produced.
According to Daily Post, he made this statement during the commissioning of the Justice Chukwudifu Akunne Oputa High Court Complex in Owerri, the state capital.
He boasted saying he has set up a record, which there is no successor that can break his record.
According to Okorocha: “Let my works speak for me after leaving the office. I am not in the business of wasting the taxpayers’ money to commission projects because I believe that such funds should be channeled to other productive ventures.
“I have set a standard which any incoming governor would not beat.”
Speaking also, the state’s Chief Judge, Justice Paschal Nnadi, said the commissioning of the court complex would go a long way to reduce the current suffocating situation of insufficient court facilities.
Nnadi stated that for many years insufficient court facilities gave rise to the uncomfortable situation where two or more judges shared one court hall.
